the double standard is appalling. conservatives have just spent eight years listening to public insults aimed at "W". The Congressman who stated the obvious, (Obama is a liar,) needs a pat on the back for saying it and a good a** whipping for apologizing. Sometimes the truth hurts, but it's always the truth.

give me one source that shows anybody cheered and howled when someone threw their shoes at Bush.

1.) that was a protest on foreign soil, that was not Bush giving a SOTU to congress.
2.) nobody cheered over that.
3.) when Wilson shouted out like that, he showed COMPLETE disrespect for the President. Not the Presidents positions, but the President. BIG difference.
4.) Page 143 states: "Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States." Not to mention, current law prohibits illegal immigrants from participating in government health care programs. - So President Obama WASN'T lying.
5.)The House version of the health care bill explicitly prohibits spending any federal money to help illegal immigrants get health care coverage. Illegal immigrants could buy private health insurance, as many do now, but wouldn't get tax subsidies to help them. Still, Republicans say there are not sufficient citizenship verification requirements to ensure illegal immigrants are excluded from benefits they are not due.

The hypocritical zealots simply worship him in their frenzied state, paying no heed to the Constitution, facts, or long-term consequences. To them, it's not about the office, it's about taking control, and silencing the opposition. Sure, Wilson was technically out of line, however, he would have been more out of line to allow the farce to continue uninterrupted!

It's because we're supposed to all agree that the Office of the President is to be respected ONLY if a democrat is in office.
Dissent is patriotic ONLY if questioning a republican.
