The BBC do it a lot with appalling 'comedies' I think it should be BANNED!!!

Oh god I totally agree about the canned laughter. It is annoying, and when I happen to have the TV on with a modern, unfunny 'comedy' on, I hear the stupid canned laughter and say to myself, 'what was so funny about THAT'?

I cannot comment on 'Friends' because I am not a fan of so-called American 'comedy'.

sometimes canned laughter bugs me when it's not fun at all & overly excessive. but for me either way if there wasn't fake laughter in friends i would still laugh. it's my favorite tv series of all time. along with how i met your mother & house.
Without laughter,it was a yuppie fashion show with Jennifer Aniston showing more and more skin and hard ni**les. It was ok at best with the canned laughs.
I love canned laughter. I have several cans of it in the pantry.
You would hear Jennifer Anniston's tears hitting the ground.
Worst part of false laughter is when it's so loud that you miss the best lines. Really annoying and not needed.
