How to act with nervous laughter?
I have some projects for film class involving borat/edbassmaster style pranks but I always laugh when I'm nervous or when I'm acting.
Please give me some tips to overcome nervous laughter and the like while I'm acting.
Thanks for the help
My friend has the same problem!
-Focus on what you're doing and what you want to achieve (your objective) in the scene. If you want it badly enough, you will not be distracted and not laugh
-Try to really enjoy saying your words, how they feel coming out of your mouth--if you're acting on the lines instead of the pauses you're less likely to laugh
-FINALLY, do NOT focus on "don't laugh, don't laugh, don't laugh" because then you probably will. Instead focus on what you want in the scene from your partner and living in the moment. If you aren't watching yourself from the outside, you should hardly be aware its even funny. Most of the time, the situations are actually horrifying to the character, but hilarious to the audience watching it (like getting a pie in the face)
