Different nations have different senses of humour !
Apart from simple logic jokes and puns, much of humor is cultural. Anyone who eats organs like kidneys and calls them "sweetmeats," or who can eat mutton at any temperature below 125 degrees, needs all the sense of humor he can get. So do Americans, who think "fast" and "food" belong together somehow.
