Help! I need a short plot for a monologue that contains both laughter and sadness?

I know I could have thought of one right now, but, problem is, I'm pretty occupied and my mind is not cooperating. So, can you make this not too complex and as short as possible, say a minute or so. [?]

If it has two characters it is not a monologue its a duologue.
