Do you think iCarly would be funny without fake laughter?
Every 5 seconds on that show you here fake laughing, like once spencer said Cool shirt and Fred said thanks, then fake laughter. I watch the show sometimes but mute it so you can hear the subtitles. It is not funny at all with out fake laughter. Nick also knows that so they rely 100% on fake emotions.
And it's not just iCarly that has fake laughing, Hannah Montana, Zack Cody, Two and a half men, Wizards of Waverly place, Seinfeld(used to), True jacksen Vp, every one of those shows uses fake laughter.
I'm getting sick of it. None of those shows are funny.
I used to like watching old Nickelodeon shows but now I just watch "SpongeBob" and "The Fairly OddParents" when I have time. "iCarly" is a dumb show an its not even funny with or without fake laughing (no offense to"iCarly" fans). I prefer seeing Miranda Cosgrove in "Drake and Josh" because she was funny.
Of course if you mute a show and just watch you'll miss a lot of the content. Hearing what's going on is a large part of tv. Though I agree with you that ICarly and shows like it are not very funny to me, they are to other people, and its not because of the fake laughter, its because the audience likes the content and finds it humorous.
i personally dont like how after they say something you start hearing laughter.... personally, i believe the iCarly would be better without the fake laughter with the exception of Sams remote

I belive that Seinfeld was taped in front of a real studio audience.
i think that that show is so stupid.... they are not even funny and i think that the girl that plays carly is wicked annoying
