Can the Republican party call itself the Family Values party without someone breaking out in laughter?
With the elected officials like Mark Sandford, David Vitter and John Ensign, all of whom are still in office can the party say they are the party of "Family Values" with a straight face. I wonder if this can be answered or will I get the usual pointing out Democrats who have had moral failures ? Are Democrats now the moral scale for which Republicans measure themselves? Seems to me both have problems but Democrats are not running on a platform of "thou are holier than thou" like some Republicans seem to want to.
The right shoved their values down our throats for years. Now they're laughing stocks, as well they should be. It is hubris to claim that one party owns the moral high ground. Especially the one that so clearly doesn't have any semblance of morality.

Have you ever noticed how, with few exceptions, no Democrats can post here anything about Obamas accomplishments, celebrate them, discuss them, etc? Its mostly all tear down the other party. I guess when you realize that the guy you elected is a major disaster, thats all youve got.

Yes, yes they can. You see, some Republicans may fail to live up to the high standards of the Republican Party but that does not make those standards invalid. That is why such people tend to be forced to resign or get voted out. Not so in the Democrat Party.
